The Elliott House as it appeared in Lynchburg: An Architectural History by S. Allen Chambers
(copyright 1981). Photograph by Richard Cheek in 1976 or 78. Notice the wooden grill under
the front porch as opposed to the brick in the photos below. There is short, white picket fence
along the back yard on the 7th Street side. It appears that the brick wall on the left hand side of
the lot may extend further towards Harrison Street in this photo than it currently does.

These photos were taken around 1990 by Mrs. Ann Walkup Reid, who was born in the
Peter Elliott House in 1928. Notice the front porch with railings and chairs.
Note house at 620 Harrison on far left of left photo, which has now been demolished.

Detail from a painting found at the Lynchburg Fine Arts Center in November of 1990
by Mrs. Ann Walkup Reid and her sister Louisa. Note now demolished house
at 620 Harrison.
