ABOVE LEFT & RIGHT: Repair process of the joists supporting the first floor. This is being accomplished via a combination of laminated, pressure-treated 2x10s, 1/2" plywood, and carriage bolts. The space between the joists and the ground will be increased.

ABOVE LEFT: Door between garret and stairs has been re-hung (this door was added in the third quarter of the 19th century, probably by John Murrill)

ABOVE RIGHT: Garret of new addition viewed from hallway connecting the main house to the addition. This space has been divided into two small rooms...the one in the rear (with the window) will be storage...the one in the foreground will be a 1/2 or 3/4 bath.
